Admissions

We are delighted that you are considering a place for your child at Ashley Academy.

Children typically join our school in nursery at age 3 or at the start of Reception (the academic year in which they turn 5), however children can join us at any age from 3-11 years.  We warmly welcome visits to our friendly school. These can be arranged by Mrs Carol Deponeo in our school office (0191 456 4977).

Admissions to Ashley Academy from Reception to Year 6 are managed by South Tyneside Council. We manage our own Nursery admissions within school.

The South Tyneside Council’s admissions policy applies, as do the arrangements for an appeal if needed.  You can apply for a place for your child to start with us prior to Reception class or at any other time. A link to South Tyneside Council can be found here.
